The guides at Alaska Trophy Adventures are experienced, professional fly-fishing experts with in-depth knowledge of the Alagnak River and its fisheries. Guests consistently praise their friendly attitude and skill in helping anglers catch silver salmon, grayling, and trophy rainbow trout.
Each guide is highly trained in Alaska fly-fishing techniques and jet-boat river navigation, holding a U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license to ensure safety on the water. The lodge hosts 20–24 guests, with groups of 2–4 staying in private riverfront cabins. The eight heated, carpeted cabins include electricity and most have private bathrooms.
The 2,200 sq. ft. Swiss Chalet accommodates up to 8 guests (six recommended)

17–18 ft outboard jet boats for shallow, braided rivers and up to 21 ft inboard boats for faster travel to larger channels. These stable, maneuverable boats carry two to three anglers plus a guide

Getting to Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge
Fly to Anchorage, Alaska (ANC): Most guests begin by flying into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the main gateway to southwest Alaska.
Fly to King Salmon, Alaska (AKN): From Anchorage, take a regional flight (about 1 hour) to King Salmon Airport, the closest commercial airport to the lodge.
Arrival in King Salmon: Guests are typically asked to arrive early Sunday morning (before 9:00 a.m.) to connect with the lodge’s air taxi. If your flight arrives late the day before, an overnight stay in King Salmon is recommended.
Air Taxi to the Lodge: From King Salmon, enjoy a scenic 30-minute bush plane flight across Katmai National Park to the lodge’s private airstrip on the Alagnak River. Lodge staff meet you on arrival to assist with luggage and welcome you.
Return Travel: On departure day, schedule a late-afternoon flight back to Anchorage to allow extra time for possible weather delays, which are common in the region.

A Typical Day at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge
6:30 a.m. – Breakfast at the main lodge.
7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – Morning Fishing
12:00 p.m. – Lunch on the water.
1:00–5:30 p.m. – Afternoon Fishing
5:30 p.m. – Return to cabins or the Swiss Chalet.
6:30 p.m. – Dinner & Evening to relax and enjoy the river views.

Guest Cabins
The lodge features heated, carpeted riverfront cabins that comfortably sleep 2–4 guests. Most cabins include private bathrooms, while a few share nearby bathhouse facilities. Each cabin is equipped with comfortable beds, running water, heat, and electricity, providing a perfect place to relax after a full day of fishing or wildlife viewing.
Swiss Chalet (Group Option)
For larger parties or families, the lodge offers a 2,200 sq. ft. Swiss Chalet with a kitchen, living and dining areas, a log-burning fireplace, toilet, and hot shower. The Chalet accommodates up to eight guests and is booked exclusively for your group, offering privacy and comfort for families or larger parties.
