Fly Fishing Focus
The lodge is world-renowned for saltwater fly fishing, especially for species like bonefish, trevally, milkfish, permit, and triggerfish.
Most anglers choose fly rods because the flats and shallow waters are perfect for sight-casting.
Spin and Light Tackle Options
While fly fishing is the main draw, guides also accommodate light tackle and spinning gear for those who prefer conventional fishing methods.
This allows anglers to target species in deeper channels, reefs, or around the islands that may not be accessible on a fly rod.
-
Bonefish – The iconic flats species, prized for sight-casting and speed, common in shallow sand and seagrass flats.
Trevally (Giant and Bluefin Trevally) – Strong, aggressive fighters found in deeper channels, drop-offs, and around reefs.
Milkfish – Challenging and fast, often on the flats; a dream catch for experienced anglers.
Permit – Highly sought-after flats species, known for elusive feeding behavior and hard fights.
Triggerfish – Abundant around reefs and drop-offs, great for variety and action-packed fights.
Secondary or Seasonal Species
Snapper species – Found on reefs and deeper channels; ideal for light tackle or spin fishing.
Grouper & other reef species – Larger reef fish for anglers using spinning or bait rigs.

The most popular fishing period runs from early September through May, with October through May considered ideal for flats fishing and favorable conditions
The Northwest Season during this time brings lighter winds and calmer seas, creating prime opportunities to target a wide range of flats species
Southeast (Windier) Season
From June through September, stronger trade winds and drier weather can make casting more technical
This quieter season typically sees fewer anglers and can offer excellent opportunities for species such as yellowfin tuna and Indo-Pacific permit

These stable, lightweight boats are ideal for sight-casting and spotting bonefish, permit, trevally, and milkfish.
Offshore / Larger Fishing Boats (Optional)
For anglers pursuing bluewater species such as giant trevally, tuna, and wahoo, larger offshore boats are available. These boats are equipped with powerful engines, rod holders, and heavy tackle setups to handle bigger fish and open-water conditions.
