Kay Fly Fishing Lodge
Ascension Bay, Mexico
Set on the legendary flats of Ascension Bay in Punta Allen, Mexico, this world-class inshore fly fishing lodge places you in the heart of one of the most iconic saltwater fisheries on earth. Miles of protected turquoise water stretch toward the horizon, where white sand flats, mangrove shorelines, and winding lagoons create a pristine ecosystem built perfectly for the fly angler.
Here, tailing bonefish shimmer across endless flats like quicksilver in the sun. Permit — the most coveted prize in saltwater fly fishing — test your patience, focus, and precision with every cast. Tarpon roll and explode in the shallows, turning calm mornings into unforgettable chaos. Every tide shift brings a new opportunity, every push of water a new shot.
Guided by seasoned local experts who know every channel, current, and hidden edge of the bay, you’ll fish with quiet confidence and purpose. These are waters shaped by decades of tradition — a place where skill is sharpened, instincts are trusted, and moments are earned rather than given.
Days begin with glassy sunrises and end with stories shared over cold drinks as the sky burns orange over the flats. Between technical shots, strip sets, and the electric surge of tight lines, you’ll experience more than just remarkable fishing — you’ll step into a destination that has defined saltwater fly fishing for generations.
This is not simply a trip. It’s immersion in one of the sport’s most revered proving grounds — where wild fish, vast water, and timeless tradition come together in their purest form.
