“As a trip host, Carson has always been great. He knows the operations of every trip inside and out. Leading up to the trip he always maintains an excellent level of communication and is always available to talk travel strategies, gear, flies, etc. Once you get to the airport to start the journey, he is focused on making sure any flight delays / transportation issues don't ruin the week and works hard behind the scenes to make adjustments if needed. Once at the destination, he is a lot of fun to hang out with and provides a great level of entertainment. It isn't by accident that some of the coolest experiences I have had on fishing trips that aren't fishing related have been because Carson "got a wild hair". “I went on my first salmon trip to upstate New York with Carson 7 years ago and have been back every year since. Before I first went, I listened to some of the others in the group talk about how exciting it is to hook into monster toothy fish and how the battles are something to be experienced to put it into context. They were right!

Carson and his team were very patient with me and helped me every step of the way.  10 wt. rods and reels to match, long leader extending farther than I had ever done, utilizing split shot, and fishing with different patterns were all new things to me.  The tactics used here have made me a better fisherman and have added many tools to the toolbox.

I have since had my father join me on this trip, and we get to share in the salmon experience. There are other father/son duos that go on this trip as well which makes it fun to watch. The laughs, conversations, sharing a bourbon and sharing the day’s stories is so much fun with this group!
