The Alagnak River is a Wild & Scenic River

The Alagnak River winds through Katmai National Park in southwest Alaska and is renowned for its remote wilderness, world-class fishing, and abundant wildlife. As a designated Wild & Scenic River, it’s protected for its exceptional natural, cultural, and recreational values. The river is a braided system, with multiple channels, gravel bars, and oxbows that create diverse habitats for fish and wildlife. Its clean, clear waters flow through forests, tundra, and nearby mountains, offering stunning scenic views. With few lodges or human developments along its banks, the Alagnak provides a truly remote Alaska experience.

A week at the lodge is filled with daily fishing adventures on these pristine waters. Guests target rainbow trout and all five Pacific salmon species on guided jet boat trips, with morning and afternoon sessions exploring the best river channels and pools. Expert guides offer instruction on both fly and spin fishing techniques, helping anglers of all skill levels make the most of their time on the river.

Each day is designed for maximum fishing time, whether pursuing trophy trout, sockeye, coho, or king salmon. A week at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is an immersive Alaskan fishing experience, combining remote wilderness, scenic beauty, and world-class angling.
